Catherine is one of the newest members of our ingredient-hunting, world-exploring, flavour-creating team of Gurus. She joined in 2017, bringing her love of science and a background in molecular gastronomy and food-product development to the Ben & Jerry’s test kitchen. She’s been hard at work (although it’s a bit of a stretch to call something this delicious and fun “work,” right?) ever since, but she hasn’t been around long enough for any of the flavours she’s been conjuring up on to be in stores. Don’t worry, she assures us: “Hold on to your spoons—yummy pints are on their way!” In the meantime, Catherine knows what she likes: Topped Salted Caramel Brownie (available only in Europe!) is her favorite. She also loves seeing the looks on people’s faces when they are eating ice cream they love. The biggest downside to her job so far is having to sort the products and ingredients in our very very (very) cold walk-in freezers. We salute you, Catherine, for braving the cold in the service of making euphoric ice cream.
